BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU/GRAPPLINGThe Brazilian Jiu Jitsu/Grappling disciplines taught at Martin Academy are derived from Erik Paulson’s Combat Submission Wrestling, Silat, Shootwrestling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. These four disciplines are known for their devastating ground fighting techniques and are used to gain a superior position to your opponent through the application of a myriad of chokes, holds, locks and joint manipulations. The above disciplines are the foundation for this exciting program. MAMAs grappling program is a combination of the above mentioned arts and can assist any individual capable of defending themselves in virtually all mixed martial arts and self-defense situations. In addition to gaining the knowledge to apply these various arts and have the upper hand in a grappling situation, the student gains physical conditioning and an outlet to release stress. |
