Talon Tactical Defense

Talon Tactical Defense (TTD) is a balanced system comprising several combative elements. It involves, but is not limited to, kicking, punching, striking, throwing and grappling.

TTD has no attachment to any particular combat range or technique. We believe it is necessary to be proficient in all combat ranges. While we harbor great respect for all combat systems and styles, we realize any one system doesn’t fit everyone’s needs. And regardless of their origin they were still created by a human being not a deity. We do not claim to be better than any other style, but we feel we are more flexible than many traditional systems that characteristically remain steeped in tradition for the sake of tradition. We believe that can cause a system to grow stagnant.

So our approach is simple. Neutralize the threat with whatever means is necessary. Subdue not submit. TTD is not a sport. To that end, we work an extensive array of combat techniques at close quarter range with the goal of self protection and protection of our loved ones. While our core principles remain steadfast, the medium of delivery must remain adaptable to a given situation.

When training in TTD respect and courtesy to our fellow students is paramount. Egos should be left outside the door. We seek to develop the whole person, not just their physical abilities. But we must remember that real fighting requires a realistic training scenario. Talon Tactical Defense is: Real self-defense, for the real world.

If you’re looking for a program that encompasses the perfect blend of Body, Mind, and Spirit, then you want to experience the Talon Program.

This program is designed to give the participant more than just a one dimensional workout limited to the physical body, thus overlooking the whole person.

Anyone skilled in serious martial arts knows that the physical element is only one dimension of a true system. Without training all the elements of the individual, an imbalance will always result.
